Just watched The Dark Knight yesterday.
Heath Ledger's acting was very good. He made me believe he really is a psycho.
The whole movie is very dark and very sick. Do you think the real world is like that? Well, I will bet that it is.
Singaporeans are living blissfully unaware about what happens outside Singapore. That includes me, of course.

And top of all that...
I feel like making icons and banners of Christian Bale. :3

I got a feeling you're going to see a lot of Batman related stuff soon...

Note: It's the exact(not really) same post from my blog!

Summary: When Tom, a hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend summer dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days "together" to try to figure out where things went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to finally rediscover his true passions in life.

I watched (500) days of summer this afternoon and I found it delightfully different. I will try not to give spoilers, but it was a memorable movie. Everyone should watch it, at least once.

I have never experienced what true love is, just short-term infatuations with many imaginary boys. I don't think I will be able to feel till I grow up, mature and maybe find 'The One'. As the movie said, everything that happens is a coincidence, fate, destiny, and any other term you could come up with to explain the unexplainable events that occur in our lives. (500) days of summer had brilliantly potrayed what love brings, the intense passion of first love, the heartaches that break-ups would bring and one's perspective when they're in love. The movie was pretty boring at the first half, with the usual, 'Let's just be friends' "It's not you, it's me," tactic. The movie starts to progress and change into the question of, "How quickly can I get this over with, so I can move on with my life?". Equally, everyone of us will eventually(yes even Johnny Depp) experience what it feels like to "be" dumped and the complex emotions that unexpectedly follow. Few films like this ever capture sensation of falling in and out of love as well as this one does.

There are some beautiful, subtle moments of tenderness as well some heart-rending moments of disconnectedness between the two that never comes across as heavy-handed. The way the movie was edited is enough to make you pause and think about what love is. It makes you remember the pain and anguish you went through when you were in love and wonder why this happened.

The twist at the end was, very surprising.

Enough said, GO WATCH IT! (:

EXAMS ARE OVER! And I can finally update this dead journal.
Went to Magic Wok to eat with Chun Ting. It was quiet there, since it was 'off-peak' and you don't see the usual crowds of students when you enter the restaurant. One of the workers, which I presume is Thai, kept playing Thai music and singing along loudly. The food came pretty fast, like, less than 10 minutes? I wonder how they managed to cook so fast. Anyways, stayed at home today and completed watching the entire season of Fringe. I was watching the last few episodes today and was quite pissed off. Why? One thing about the DVD box sets of drama serials that you buy from China is that the subtitles are always perfect and error-free when you watch the first few episodes. When you progress further into the series, the subtitles become messed up and you have no idea what the hell the people are saying. I didn't understand what they were talking about and have to constantly turn the volume up and lower it because when I can't hear them at times(and the subtitles don't make sense) and sometimes the background music becomes too loud. Watching the last few episodes were a waste of time because I can't make head or tails of what was happening(thanks to the subtitles). Moving on, Fringe was great. The mystery surrounding every episode and the entire season is very interesting. It's so dark, with all that illegal experiments on humans and turning them into some super-powered human with strange abilities(think: a woman who suddenly caught on fire and BOOM) The only thing scary about the show, I think, are the dead bodies. Imagine seeing some hybrid animal's larvae hatching in a dead human body. Gruesome.(Read: Awesome!) Gotta go now. See ya.

Hurray! Changed LiveJournal skin. I got sick of the previous one even though it was nice. :/

Anyways, life's been okay. But unfortunately I think I am going to have a very bad cough and a sorethroat. There's this uncomfortable slight itchiness in my throat and I have been coughing mildly today. Sigh. I hate 2009. Do you know how many times had I been sick this year? If this develops it will be the fourth time I am sick. -_-"

I cannot wait for 2009 to be over, seriously.

Anyways, should I buy October's issues of Teenage and Teens? I am so tempted to buy them but the price tag to them(six dollars!) deterred me from buying them. Teenage had this cover about Korean pop stars. Due to my enthusiasm on wanting to know more about K-pop, I am very interested in buying it. Than over to Teens. The poster's for that issue is Black Eye Peas!!! <3 (Although the poster for Twilight: New Moon did somewhat made me interested in it. Guess what? I am starting to think Robert Pattinson is hot. Holy sh*t. What's wrong with me?)

Gotta' go have dinner! See you, bye! (:

Honestly, I prefer Blogger to LiveJournal.
I am getting more traffic over at Blogger than Livejournal(well, actually, I can't really say because I don't have a site stats here) and nobody cares to comment on LJ. .__.

It's like, every time I posted a new post, this online journal stays quiet and empty. Like, there is nothing but ghosts who won't speak and prefers crawling over the place.

-edited-

P.S, I have got something to add on: ANYONE HAS KOREAN MUSIC TO RECOMMEND ME!?

This song by David Choi, the awesomest musician on Youtube, is very touching. I shall not elaborate more here. Do listen to his song on shuffle in my music player embed above! (:

Somehow through this house of mine
The windows shattered
The brick walls crumbled down
All without a sound

How this happened, I don't know
But this funny feeling's something
I've never felt before

CHORUS:
Like a thief in the night
You came around, you came around
To steal away my heart
Didn't see, didn't hear
When you came around
When you came around
To steal away my heart

You took everything away
You took my soul
You took my heart
But I've been smiling these days

If there's one thing that I've found
It's that love can sneak behind
And pin you to the ground

CHORUS

Oh, it came to be
Sounds hard to believe
That love found me
That love found me

CHORUS

When you came around
I gave away my heart

I am not supposed to be using the computer this late on a schoolnight, but I had to do up some farewell cards for the seniors of my CCA, whom, unfortunately, I have never met and never knew. My maid had already threatened me that I would not be allowed to use the computer till late hours in the holidays. What is this? Shouldn't it be the other way round? FML.

Feeling elated for the presents and well-wishing that I got for my birthday. I really want to give a huge 'thank you' to everyone who wished me happy birthday and all the presents I have got. I really felt like crying when I read some of the 'happy birthday' messages. It really teaches you that somebody really cares for you and you are not alone. And the presents, they were filled with so much sincerity that you could shed a tear just thinking about it. I am thankful I have the bestest friends I could ever have.

Thanks for the memories.

I am turning fifteen today!
I am feeling a rush of euphoria right now.
I am feeling good!
Well, here goes 14. I could never get it back, but, it's okay. (:

I heard this song in acoustic version yesterday on 98.0 fm and I was very touched by it.
So this is what love can do.

The Man Who Can't Be Moved - The Script
Cause If one day you wake up and find that your missing me
and your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinkin maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you'll see me waiting for you on the corner of the street
So I'm not moving, I'm not moving,
I'm not moving, I'm not moving
